HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY & ENVIRONMENT (HSSE) POLICY
At SEAPLUS ENERGY HUB LIMITED, the health, safety, security, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, clients, visitors, host communities, and the environment are fundamental to the success of our operations.
We are committed to conducting all our business activities in a safe, responsible, and environmentally sustainable manner while complying with all applicable Nigerian legislation, client requirements, and internationally recognized HSE standards.
To achieve this commitment, SEAPLUS ENERGY HUB LIMITED shall:
- Provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and stakeholders.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures before commencing any work.
- Prevent occupational injuries, work-related illnesses, environmental pollution, and property damage.
- Ensure full compliance with the Factories Act, the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), NUPRC regulations, NESREA requirements, and other applicable statutory and client HSE requirements.
- Provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper use.
- Train, educate, and empower employees to perform their duties safely and responsibly.
- Promote a strong safety culture through regular HSE meetings, inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and continuous awareness programs.
- Encourage the prompt reporting and investigation of hazards, unsafe acts, near misses, incidents, and accidents to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain effective emergency preparedness and response procedures to minimize the impact of any unforeseen event.
- Protect the environment through pollution prevention, proper waste management, efficient use of natural resources, and continual improvement of environmental performance.
- Continually improve our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental Management System through regular monitoring, performance evaluation, and management review.
